Guided by IIT Delhi faculty, experts, and industry leaders, participants gain practical exposure to entrepreneurship, product design, business strategy, regulatory frameworks, and start-up creation—culminating in a capstone project that transforms innovative ideas into real-world healthcare solutions.

The teaching will focus on learning important concepts from scratch through discussions on real-life examples. The topics will then be applied by the students as a part of the course and project assignments. The project, which will run throughout the course, will involve hands-on training on the topics taught and enable the development of a strong technical and entrepreneurial mindset. Dynamic two-way feedback will ensure effective mentoring and student learning.

Eligibility Criteria & Selection

  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior work experience or a certificate of completion of an internship or project is desirable.
  • Applications will be reviewed based on the eligibility and subsequent shortlisting process as laid down by the Programme Coordinator.

Attendance

  • Participants with Grades>60% and Attendance>70% will get completion certificates. Rest of the participants with Grades 60% and Attendance>50% will get participation certificates. No certificates will be issued for participants with below 50% attendance.

Withdrawal & Refund from Programme

  • Candidates can withdraw within 15 days from the programme start date. A total of 80% of the total fee received will be refunded. However, the applicable tax amount paid will not be refunded on the paid amount.
  • Candidates withdrawing after 15 days from the start of the programme session will not be eligible for any refund.
  • If you wish to withdraw from the programme, you must email cepaccounts@admin.iitd.ac.in and crm.supportiitd@jaro.in, stating your intent to withdraw. The refund, if applicable, will be processed within 30 working days from the date of receiving the withdrawal request.

Easy EMI Options Available*

  • Loan Options is a service offered by Jaro Education. IIT Delhi is not responsible for the same.
  • Payment of fees should be submitted to the IIT Delhi CEP account only. The receipt will be issued by the IIT Delhi CEP accounts team and can be downloaded from the CEP Portal.
  • The application fee of INR 1,000/- plus 18% GST is non-refundable and non-transferable. This fee is in addition to the programme fee and will not be adjusted against the total programme fee.

Programme Certificate

  • Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Successful Completion upon achieving an aggregate of 60% or more in the evaluation components and maintaining a minimum attendance of 70% in lectures and tutorials at CEP, IIT Delhi.
  • Participants who do not achieve 60% in the evaluation but maintain at least 50% attendance will be eligible for a Participant Certificate.

FAQs

The Executive Programme in Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Management is a 5-month live online programme by CEP, IIT Delhi. It equips professionals, clinicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs with the skills to conceptualise, design, prototype, test, and commercialise innovative healthcare solutions.
This programme is designed for healthcare professionals, clinicians, biomedical engineers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators seeking to develop healthcare products, services, or start-ups.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) from a recognised university. Prior project, internship, or work experience in a relevant field is preferred. A Statement of Purpose (minimum 250 words) is also required.
The programme runs for 5 months and is delivered through live online (synchronous) sessions on weekends. It also includes a 2-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi for hands-on learning and networking.
The programme is coordinated by Prof. Arnab Chanda and Prof. Biswarup Mukherjee from the Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME), IIT Delhi. Faculty members from IIT Delhi, doctors and healthcare industry experts also contribute.
The curriculum spans six modules—Conception, Design, Prototyping, Testing, Sales & Marketing, and Commercialisation—culminating in a Capstone Project where participants develop a prototype and commercialisation plan.
Participants who secure at least 60% aggregate marks and 70% attendance will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion from CEP, IIT Delhi. Those with 50% attendance but less than 60% marks will receive a Certificate of Participation.
No. The programme does not include placement assistance or confer IIT Delhi alumni status. However, it provides extensive mentorship, networking opportunities, and exposure to real-world healthcare innovation.
